New York – More than 12,000 fans were on hand this past weekend at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center which has become a prime venue for boxing on the East Coast. Those on hand saw Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KO’s) dominate Adrien Broner (33-3, 24 KO’s) and add another notch for a potential ‘Fighter of The Year’ award.
Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, was the lead promoter of the card and expects both fighters to remain very relevant in the future.
“It was a great card, outstanding turn out,” Ellerbe told BoxingScene.com “It was a great event and a great performance by Mikey Garcia. Adrien Broner will be ok, he just has to go back to the drawing board.”
